The water cycle

There are four main stages in the water cycle. They are evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.

This is when warmth from the sun causes water from the oceans, lakes, streams, ice and soils to rise into the air and turn into water vapour – gas. Water vapour droplets join together to make clouds.

This is when water vapour in the air cools down and turns back into liquid water.

This when water in the form of rain, snow, hail or sleet falls from the clouds in the sky.

This is when water that falls from the clouds as rain, snow hail or sleet collects in the ocean, rivers, lakes, streams. Most of the water will soak into the ground and will collect as underground water.

The water cycle is powered by the sun’s energy and by gravity. The sun kickstarts the whole cycle by heating all the Earth’s water and making it evaporate. Gravity makes the moisture fall back to Earth.

Fasting in Ramadan

Muslims have started fasting from Friday and some have started fasting on Saturday this is because of the moon sighting.

I have kept 3 fasts in Ramadan. I have to wake up in the morning before sunrise at 3:00am to have my breakfast, after I have ate my breakfast, I brush my teeth and then I go to bed.

When I wake up in the morning I can’t eat or drink anything during the day. I have to open my fast when it is sunset which is at approximately 8:31 pm at night.

During the day I keep busy by doing my school homework. I have enjoyed doing my work on purple mash ,ixl, ttrockstar and spelling shed. In the afternoon my teacher from mosque rings me to listen to my mosque work.

I then have a rest and then my mum makes the lovely food. When it is time to break my fast I eat a date and then I eat my mums food.

After a rest I have to pray my night prayers, I don’t pray all the prayers because I get tired and then I go to sleep. Usually my dad and my brothers go to the mosque to pray but because we can’t go we pray as a family, my big brother leads the prayers.

Ramadan Mubarak to those who are celebrating.

The bird can see a few children playing in the snow and he can see loads of bushes. The little bird can see a greenhouse and houses covered in white soft snow! He can see churches and graves near some icy paths and roads. He can see one snow man and plain trees and leaves are falling from the trees. He can see 4 children playing a snowball fight . The bird can see some Christmas trees around him.
